This Shipping Policy applies to goods ordered from silverchef.shop. It explains delivery cost, timing, order processing, tracking, delays and responsibility for goods in transit.
Free standard delivery
All orders receive free standard delivery. There is no minimum order value for standard delivery. If an optional faster or enhanced service is made available, its price and material conditions will be shown before the order is placed and it will be charged only if the customer actively selects it.
Delivery area and restrictions
Available delivery destinations are shown during checkout. Some products may be restricted from particular postcodes, regions or destinations because of size, weight, carrier coverage, safety rules or legal restrictions. If we discover after ordering that we cannot deliver, we will contact the customer and refund any payment for goods we cannot supply.
Processing and dispatch
Orders may require processing, payment authorisation, fraud screening, picking and packing before dispatch. We will send an order confirmation and, where available, a dispatch notice or tracking reference. Dispatch and delivery messages are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed date.
Estimated delivery time
Our normal estimated delivery time is 15–20 days. This estimate runs from order acceptance unless the product page or order confirmation clearly states a different agreed basis. Delivery may occur sooner. If the order contains multiple products, they may arrive in separate parcels, but no additional standard delivery fee will be charged.
Unless a different delivery period is expressly agreed with the customer, we will deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made. A product-specific preorder, made-to-order date or other longer period applies only where disclosed and agreed before purchase.
Address accuracy
Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address and contact information. Review the details before submitting the order and contact info@silverchef.shop immediately if a correction is needed. We cannot promise that an address can be changed after processing or dispatch. We may request reasonable verification before changing a delivery address to protect against fraud.
Tracking
Where tracking is provided, scans and estimated dates are generated by the carrier and may not update in real time. A tracking status does not alter statutory rights. If tracking shows an unexpected delay or delivery but the parcel cannot be located, contact us so we can investigate.
Delivery attempts, safe places and collection
A carrier may attempt redelivery, leave the parcel in an agreed safe place, deliver to an authorised neighbour, or take it to a collection point in accordance with the customer’s instructions and applicable carrier practice. Do not choose a safe place unless it is genuinely suitable. A customer who requests a specific safe place accepts the ordinary risks of that instruction only to the extent permitted by law.
If a parcel is not collected or an attempted delivery fails because incorrect details were supplied, contact us. Any redelivery cost will be charged only where lawful, reasonable and communicated before the customer agrees to redelivery.
Risk and responsibility
For consumer orders, goods remain at our risk until they come into the physical possession of the customer or a person identified by the customer to receive them. If the customer independently arranges a carrier that we did not offer, risk may pass when the goods are delivered to that carrier, as provided by law.
Delays outside our control
Severe weather, transport disruption, customs processes, industrial action, emergencies, carrier network problems or other events outside reasonable control may cause delay. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the impact and communicate material information available to us. These circumstances do not remove rights that arise where delivery is late.
Late delivery and non-delivery
If we miss an agreed delivery deadline that was essential, or you told us before the contract that delivery by that date was essential and we accepted that requirement, you may be entitled to end the contract immediately. In other cases, you may set an appropriate additional deadline. If we still fail to deliver within that additional period, you may end the contract and receive a refund for the affected goods. Contact info@silverchef.shop before making a replacement purchase where reasonably possible so we can investigate promptly.
Damaged parcels, missing products and wrong items
Inspect the parcel reasonably soon after receipt. If packaging or goods are damaged, items are missing, or the wrong item arrives, retain the packaging and shipping label and email info@silverchef.shop with the order number and useful photographs. Prompt notice helps with a carrier claim, but does not replace or shorten statutory consumer rights.
International delivery, taxes and customs
If delivery outside the United Kingdom is offered, the checkout or product information will identify the price and any charges collected by us. The customer may be responsible for import VAT, customs duty, brokerage or local charges not collected at checkout, but only where this is clearly disclosed before ordering. Customs delays are outside normal carrier estimates. The customer is responsible for complying with lawful import restrictions at the destination.
Split shipments
We may split an order for operational reasons. Each parcel remains part of the same order. If only part arrives, check dispatch messages and tracking before contacting us. Cancellation periods for goods from the same order delivered on different days are calculated in accordance with applicable law, generally from receipt of the last item.
